Win tickets to see acclaimed gay movie in London

The Vue Islington cinema is hosting a double bill feature of the critically acclaimed Mysterious Skin and Shortbus on Monday 16th July and PinkNews.co.uk has two pairs of tickets to give away.

Mysterious Skin features two teens from the same small town, played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Brady Corbett, who couldn’t seem more different.

Yet they have one, devastating thing in common: both were molested by their little league baseball coach. They’ve dealt with the trauma in dramatically different ways.

Brian (Corbett) is a repressed nebbish who’s obsessed with the idea that he was abducted by aliens and Neil (Gordon-Levitt) is a gay hustler who thinks no one could love him as much as Coach and as a result can’t reconcile sex with any emotional attachment.

Shortbus explores the lives of several characters living in present-day New York as they navigate the comic and tragic intersections between love and sex.

Male and female, straight and gay, the characters find one and other – and eventually find themselves – when they all converge at a weekly underground salon called Shortbus, a mad nexus of art, music, politics, and polysexual carnality.
