Deputy Labour Leader called from Gay Pride to Cobra Meeting

The Prime Minister Gordon Brown has today held an emergency meeting of the Cobra cabinet committee as a result of the attacks on Glasgow Airport.

Harriet Harman, Deputy Leader of the Labour Party and Leader of the House of Commons was summoned from London Pride to head towards Whitehall.

The Prime Minister, Mr Brown was briefed by Scotland Yard officials and was obviously being kept informed of developments.

Eyewitness reports suggest that a Jeep was driven into the main doors of the Glasgow Airport departure lounge before bursting into flames.
