Now that Hazel is heading the Equalities Commission, now is the time to petition her to convert Civil Partnerships into full marriage equality and to support legislation to enact a hate crimes law based on sexual orientation. Accomplishing that would virtually enable the UK to join the more democratic and enlightened societies of Holland, Belgium, Spain, Canada and South Africa, but Sweden will beat us on that one unfortunately come 2008 when it will probably abandon Civil Unions for marriage.Robert, ex-pat Brit.

    Nick Brown has been made the Minister of the North East, not North West as the article says.
