While Mohler’s comments are offensive, his recognition that people are born gay shows that the sort of prejudices pushed by the so-called “Ex-Gay” movement will be a thing of the past. The more Christians realise that a person’s sexuality is biologically determined, the more that those who have a brain and a heart will realise that this particular article of faith is immoral and deserves to be discarded like the church’s previously held teachings on gender, race and slavery.Thankfully his ideas on hormone treatment for gay and lesbian fetuses are entirely impractical and the science behind doing such a thing decades away from any application on humans (that and no ethics committee would ever back it- maybe they would for gay sheep but not for gay humans).
