I am not surprised that GLBT persons are more apt to be addicted to cigarettes, or cigars, or booze. Even illicit drugs. The higher stress they face daily would weaken them and as most human beings, they seek a way to feel better. I hope the new laws in Great Britain and Europe will help. I encourage everyone to kick the tobacco habit. I know it can be very difficult. My husband managed, but he used the patch and was minding doctor’s orders not to smoke for one week after day surgery. Our son remembers and does not smoke. I never did, though two of my brothers did. At least they quit now, too.
