You have laughed at the outdated outfits, adopted their mispronunciations of words, and now the super camp comedy pairing of Australian mother and daughter Kath and Kim has come to DVD.

The Neighbours meets Royle Family type show features the suburban Sheila’s attempt to cope with all that life throws at them from sex, men, food and, well mainly sex, men and food.

Starring the inimitable pairing of Jane Turner and Gina Riley as the mother and daughter hornbags, Kath Kim documents the pair’s trials and tribulations.

Following her much anticipated wedding to ‘hunk of spunk Kel’, Kath has found that married life is not quite what she expected.

Her libido has gone AWOL and Kim is appalled to find her mother and Kel parading around the house in the nuddy in a bid to reclaim their sexual prowess.

Kim is committed to sowing her ‘rolled oats’ big time now that her husband Brett won’t let her back into the marital home. However, deep down she does want to try and save her marriage so surely the only answer is to have a baby? It does also mean that she can justify eating for two!

Things are also looking up for Kim’s second-best friend, Sharon, as she has found a place playing netball for her local team and it looks like she has fallen in love – does this mean she will finally get the chance to experience ‘pash rash’?

A must for any hornbag this Christmas.

The BBC2 show is out on DVD from Monday courtesy of Contender Home Entertainment.

It’s a bonza solution to your Christmas prezzie problems – so sit down with a cuppa and the Dippity-Bix and have yourself an Aussie Christmas with the ladies of Fountain Lakes.
