Gay Germany snappers can go a long way

German Justice Minister Katarina Barley arrives for the weekly government cabinet meeting on March 13, 2019 in Berlin, Germany.

A new online promotion lets you choose your favourite image of Germany and enter to win free Air Berlin tickets to Germany.

MyGayGermany is a new promotion by the German National Tourist Office designed especially for UK and Irish residents.

Visitors to www.GayGermany.co.uk get to choose their favourite Germany photo from a wide range of images showing many of the reasons why Germany is one of the global gay travel hotspots.

People who may already have their own photo can even show it off online and upload that to the site if they prefer.

Once a person selects their favourite photo, they are entered into a prize draw to win one of four prizes of two return airline tickets flying Air Berlin to any of Air Berlin’s German destinations from the UK.

Then during December, people visiting www.GayGermany.co.uk will vote for their favourite photos from all those selected.

The three most popular photos at the end of the promotion each win two return tickets with Air Berlin. One voter will also be in the running to win two return flights to Germany, courtesy of Air Berlin and the German National Tourist Office.

The first part of the promotion runs all through November and voting takes place online during December.

Details of the promotion’s conditions are found at the promotion’s website.

UK and Ireland Director for the German National Tourist Office, Udo Grebe, said that he was delighted for GNTO to again be showcasing Germany to the gay community. “Germany has so much that appeals to gay and lesbian travellers.

“From festivals to nightlife to all the reasons to visit Germany like food, wines and breathtaking scenery. We enjoy very much working with the gay and lesbian communities in the UK and Ireland to show off just how much Germany has to offer. We are also really looking forward to seeing which photos people most like, and then which ones are the most popular in the MyGayGermany campaign,” he said.

The campaign runs online at www.GayGermany.co.uk until December 31, 2006.
