Europe’s first transsexual MP may be given her own private bathroom after leaving other female toilet users feeling flushed.

Vladimir Luxuria, a member Communist Refoundation Party, who was elected in Italy’s recent polls, has caused outrage amongst politicians as they argue over which toilet she should be allowed to use.

Ms Luxuria, born Wladimiro Guadagno, considers herself neither male nor female but dresses as a woman and prefers to be called a ‘she.’

The rift started after she was accosted by Forza Italia spokesperson Elisabetta Gardini in the female toilets, telling her she should be using the male facilities, the Daily Telegraph reports.

Ms Gardini said: “It was a thousand miles from my mind that I should walk in and find him there.

“When I went into the toilet I honestly felt very uncomfortable. I felt I had been attacked sexually.”

But Ms Luxuria says she has been using the female toilet for months with no complaints, “At first I thought it was a joke. Then I meekly complied. Afterwards, I got angry. I have been using ladies’ bathrooms for years, and I’ve been using this one at the houses of parliament for six months.

“Lots of my colleagues have seen me in the bathroom and I often join in the gossip.”

Ms Luxuria’s supporters are calling for calm while other politicians claim that she should only be allowed in the female toilets once she has a complete sex change.
