Gay icon Kylie Minogue will relaunch her Australian Showgirl tour this November after recovering from breast cancer surgery, it was announced today.

Minogue had to cancel the Australian leg of her world tour last May after being diagnosed with cancer, but concert promoter, and long term friend, Michael Gudinski told reporters today that she is “fit as a fiddle.”

He told reporters, “Obviously she has still got a few mountains to climb, but we are very confident that the tour will be going ahead in November.

“She is still getting tired on the odd day, but she looked fit as a fiddle,” said Mr Gudinski, who is also a long-term friend of Minogue.

“I spent the weekend with Kylie. She’s looking great. She’s definitely through the worst of everything.

“You can’t keep Kylie down. She’s actually recording in the studio and working on songs as we speak.”

The singer made a surprise performance at G-A-Y last week when she appeared on stage with her sister Dannii.
