  1. Interesting isn’t it that he does this after writing to the times earlier this week backing Ruth Kelly? In a letter to The Times, Cardinal Cormac Murphy O’Connor, the Archbishop of Westminster, asked for respect for Ms Kelly’s beliefs. He wrote, “Sir, I am astonished that Ruth Kelly’s Catholicism might be considered incompatible with her role as Equality Minister. If this is the case, why can’t his press advisor do his job even though he is gay?Once again it shows that hypocracy and double standards from the church!!

“We fear for the safety of gay people in Catholic countries where their rights are not protected.” say Mr Sanderson. Perhaps not in Spain however. I do agree that the Catholic Church is probably responsible for the way LGBTTQI people around the world are systematically brutalised and criminalised. Let’s face it, despite being several centuries out of touch with reality, the Vatican still has a lot of clout. Personally, I don’t see why Stephen Noon would work for fascists anyway. If they want us out, then perhaps gay people everywhere should boycott them. Oh wait, but that would mean the Catholic Church losing around half it’s priests in one fell swoop!
