Gay people who meet to have sex in public in Wales will not ruin this Easter weekend, according to a local councillor.

Carmarthenshire Council in Llanelli, Wales, spoke out after a website recommended several local attractions as ideal hotspots for gay and bisexual cruising.

The sites included Pembrey Beach, Burry Port Harbour and Cefn Sidan.

A council spokeswoman told the Llanelli Star, “It is unfortunate that such information is published on websites without any investigation into the facts.

“We hope that this will not put anyone off visiting these popular attractions and can assure people that every care is taken to ensure public health and safety at all times.”
