    Brokeback Mountain gets BAFTA nominations 5

    The gay cowboy recieved 9 BAFTA nominations

    12:00 AM — Having just saddled up from a successful evening at the Golden Globes, gay love story, Brokeback Mountain has now been nominated for 9 British Academy Film Awards.The cowboy movie will battle with race relations thriller Crash, and Capote, a biopic on author Truman Capote, for best film at the awards which are announced on February 19.

    Rev Michael Nazir-Ali says civil partnerships undermine church teachings and unity

    12:00 AM — A senior Church of England bishop has criticised his colleague's stance over gay "weddings" for priests as "unbiblical" and unworkable.The Bishop of Rochester, the Rt Rev Michael Nazir-Ali, said guidance issued by the House of Bishops in response to civil partnerships was against Church teaching and unity.
