This is just so typical! I’ve recently “turned on” to British television programming (with the help of the internet), and I have come to the realization that American TV just totally sucks!! The Brits really have their act together. I bought all seasons of Spooks a while back off the internet, and I was spellbound! Have also found other series such as “New Tricks,” “The Last Detective,” “Blue Murder,” “Rosemary Thyme,” and many others to be absolutely fabulous programs!! I think Brit writers target an little bit of an older crowd, where writers here in the US target an audience of about 18 to 25. Being 50, this just totally sucks! A sitcom here in the US called “How I Met Your Mother” that is supposed to just the funniest thing on TV (if you believe the hype). I have to watch it to get to CSI, and I have YET to crack a smile. IT’S NOT FUNNY! Anyway, to the matter at hand, I think Barrowman would have been PERFECT for the role of Will, and it’s a shame it wasn’t cast. I will certainly be following his other work, you can count on it. Thanks!

I don’t know how they can say he’s ‘too straight’, I picked up he was gay the first time I saw him on Torchwood.

Does anyone care what this hetero-normative queen has to say? Sounds like sour grapes to me, too.
Who cares about his sexuality? Eric McCormack was fantastic on that show (as his Emmy win would indicate.) Will & Grace also featured the first prime time gay kiss, did it not? Not exactly homophobic.
Also, are we forgetting about Sean Hayes?
Fact: Eric McCormack is absolutely beautiful men. And talented. Its too little, no?
